Fans of the show, Gilmore Girls, keep coming back for more each week partly for the storyline, but they are equally attracted to the characters. Particularly evident is the relationship between the single mother and daughter, Lorelai, played by Lauren Graham, and Rory, played by Alexis Bledel. The small age difference depicted by the two characters makes it a special one and sets them apart from the typical American family. Although the two have a close, friendship-like relationship, they do have their differences similar to all parents and children. We dove in to find some of the highlights of this bond. Check it out.
10. They Are On Each Other’s Side
No matter what they get into, Lorelai and Rory are always on the same team. Although it is important for Rory to experience independence and freedom, the two do things together to create lasting memories and trust. One episode has them egging Jess’s car with devilled eggs from a baby shower. When Rory was invited to the shower, Lorelai attended against her wishes and left angered. On the way home, Rory suggested they vandalize the car to make her feel better. They had each other’s back with the same alibi.
